Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Ir Blaster Emitter hardware?

I'm looking for suggestions for a new LIRC emitter for one of my mythtv frontends. I'm not happy with the red "see-through" type of emitter, and I'm looking for one with the supercapacitor on a circuit board, or perhaps one that's packaged nicely. Unfortunately, I can't find one like the "Saturn PC" board (with the super capacitor) that I already have, which has been very reliable. I see an HP branded one on ebay, but I didn't find any recommendations for it anywhere. Any suggestions?

That looks like a remote and a receiver. What I need is an emitter (transmitter) to change the channels on the set top box.

It's OK. It looks like the one at iguanaworks is close enough to what I'm looking for that I'll just get that one.
