i've had an iPod nano running fine on Linux for a while. i'd been using gtkpod without any problems.
However, recently something has started happening. It seems that the ability to write the the iPod times out after a while. If i'm copying music to it it'll get so far then give me a write error (same with reading, actually).
In XP, however, everything's fine and i can read/write without any issues.
It's possible that a 'iPod Updater' was run on it (i had some other problems and someone fixed it but i'm not sure what they did) - does anyone know if that could have anything to do with it?
Yeah, i did but it had problems writing to the drive.
Resolved it though: it turned out to be an issue with the USB port rather than the iPod. Switching to a different port fixed the problem. It was a front-mounted port (connect via a lead to the MoBo) rather than one on the 'board; i'm wondering if the drivers/hardware don't work as they should in this instance.
