ipod for linux


Hi,
I have just purchased an apple ipod (mac+windows version) and was wondering if anyone could poit me to a definitive how-to on setting the ipod up for use on linux.

That is an interesting...... tutorial. why would `mkdosfs -F 32 /dev/sda1` work all by itself?

There is a also a discussion thread started (link should be a the bottom of the tutorial) where you can ask questions.

I have seen this how to but the problem is that I have to format all the contents of my ipod and its full of music!!
Anyone know how to get around this as I don't have access to an MS Windows or Mac machine!
