IP masquerading with no hub

Is it possible to IP masquerade with two ethernet cards directly and not go through a hub or access point? I have a main PC with a wireless card (eth1) and wired card (eth0 - outside connection), and I want to connect a wireless laptop to use the net. The laptop has a wireless card also. I do not want to buy or use an access point or hub, is this possible?

I do not have wireless, but it should be possible.

You can configure linux to do nat and configure an ad-hoc network between pc and laptop.

Ok, I will have to do some reading about, because I don't know how to set those up, but thanks for the answer!

Most firewall configuration packages allow you to specify nat. I'm using firestarter. I'm not quite happy, since it by default blocks addresses that used to be unused, but it still does the job.
