Internet keyboard misconfiguration on kernel 2.6.X

Ever since I've used kernel 2.6.0, the same problem has been appearing related to my keyboard (Logitech Internet Navigator). It seems that six of the keys which worked previously in 2.4.X ("iTouch", "Shopping", "Finance", "My Sites", "Community", and the depressable scroll-wheel) now cease to send any keystroke (according to both `showkey`, and `xev`). I currently have the keyboard, which is USB, plugged into the PS/2 port via adapter. I've tried to plug it in directly via USB, and when I do the 2.6.X kernel sees these buttons as /mouse buttons/. Is there a good way of correcting this in userland, or should I send a bug to the kernel maintainers?
