Internet connection with Telewell USB-modem?

My ADSL-modem was fried in latest thunderstorm along with my laptop. Happy event, as it was 3 days old laptop

Anyway, my only working modem currently is Telewell EA-100B Version 2. Is there anyway to use it to connect to the internet? It works perfectly with Windows but I have a dual-boot machine with gentoo on another partition and I'd like it to work in there too. I have driver CD and it has a linux drivers for Red Hat 7,8 and 9.1 or something like that in .rpm packages.

Is there anyway to use these with Gentoo or is there a better driver available and do I need drivers at all?

"lsusb" finds my modem as far as I know so it's only a matter of making the connection.

Thank you in advance.
