Internal ZIP on SuSE 9.1

I was using SuSE 9.0 without any trouble. So, when 9.1 came out, it was natural to upgrade. Instead of upgrading, I did a clean install. And there u go!!! Hell breaks loose...

I CAN'T MOUNT MY INTERNAL IOMEGA 250 MB ZIP????????????????????

That drive is not even in my computer devices (the my computer icon on desktop). I tried to add a line in my /etc/fstab to mount it (/media/zip folder) .. nothing WORKED!!!

Any idea???????

I can't get the zip drive to be mounted automatically in SuSE 9.1 with their new submount. However it can still be used in the old way.

add the following line to /etc/fstab:

Quote:
/dev/hdb4 /media/zip vfat users,gid=users,umask=0002,iocharset=utf8 0 0
the /dev/hdb4 is what mine is, it depends which ide device your zip is, it may be /dev/hdc4, or /dev/hdd4

then create a folder called zip in /media and modify the permissions so any user can access it

then if you are using KDE you can right click on the desktop, click create new->device->zip device

then put in /dev/hdb4 (or whatever yours is) under the device tab
