Internal SATA Drive and external SATA Disk Array.
Hi All,
We have a Dell workstation which contain a SATA Drive(bios is config as AHCI Mode) and A SCSI Card(Adaptec 39320A).
The external SATA Disk Array has been config(but not formatted). Its channel ID is 6.
Now, I install centos 5.3.
Before the real configuration(after select the language), it stoped.
A prompt appears: Error opening /dev/sda.
It seems that the SCSI+External Disk Array is seemed as /dev/sda.
But the internal SATA Drive should be as /dev/sda. the os should be installed on the internal SATA Drive.
And I have no chance to do a select.
If I can select /dev/sda(if it is SCSI card + external Disk Array) or /dev/sdb(if it is internal SATA drive), then the problem can be fixed.
But now. I have no chance to do this kind of selection.
Anyone can provide any information about it?
Thank you very much.
