internal iomega ZIP 100 problem


I installed MDK 9.1 on my PC where I had a iomega ZIP 100 internal reader
the first time I start my PC I need more than 2 minutes to be able to get the data of the disk then the further opening are OK How can I fix the problem
the answer to my check is as follows :

[root@localhost jean]# insmod ppa

Are you sure this is a parallel port device? I thought internal zip drives were IDE or SCSI. Try this:

% cat /proc/ide/hd*/model

Any sign of your ZIP drive?
