IntelHamModem,pppd not always works
 

There is strange thing !
~50% of my attempts to start pppd on SuSE 7.3
with Intel Ham on board finished by :

"Timout expired ....",

I set maximum timout I can, and in 50% cases everything works fine and pppd starts in first second after connect,but not always,

what can I do to resolve the ptoblem?
