Intel vs Dlink NIC Gigabyte price point difference

Hi,

I wondering about intel and dlink gigabyte desktop nic card price point, May i ask if someone know the difference between the two gigabyte nic card, I found at my local electronic store that theres a price difference between the two the intel is double the price of the dlink although the are the same gigabyte nic card. How about the features, Im referring the PCI express x4.maybe network performance, brand name or speed, i had no clue for now..

Hope someone knows some related info..

Thanks in advance..

Without knowing the exact models then we can't guess. Generally the Intel is a better card that is used by companies while the dlink is products for soho and home use.

Also the manufacturing supply line and general overhead cost may result in a price difference.

If I needed the card for some business case or for the advanced features I'd pick the intel.

If I just needed some card then maybe look at dlink.

Most computers can't supply the full use of the gig lan anyway.
