Intel Video Driver Error I think?

I just got a new laptop and upgraded my kernel to 2.6.33.4 in Slackware-Current. Since then, during boot up, I get this error:
Code:
fb: conflicting fb hw usage inteldrmfb vs VESA VGA - removing generic driver
Console: switching to colour dummy device 80x25
Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 160x50
fb0: inteldrmfb frame buffer device
registered panic notifier
I've tried Googling this, but since I don't really know what I'm looking for I haven't found anything useful. This isn't really a bother, but I would like to fix it. Could anyone tell me how? Thanks in advance

The reason your getting this message is because the inteldrmfb driver and the Vesa one can both use your video device and both can be used to give you better graphics support in the console. What its doing is dumping out the vesa driver and trying to use the intel one. does the system lock up at this point or does it continue to boot? If it continues to boot then I would say the message is just informational and not an error.

You could fix it by removing either the intel driver or the vesa driver from the kernel under frame buffer driver support.

The system continues to boot just fine, however the screen flickers at this point and falls back on a lower resolution. I've tried deactivating the drivers in the kernel, and neither seemed to work. It's not really that big of a problem, just more o? an annoyance that I can live with. Any other ideas?
Thanks

Try removing the vesa frame-buffer driver from the kernel and recompiling it, and then rebooting using the new kernel. This is all dependent on your video card that your using as well. You also have to make sure you remove the driver from the right place as well. There is another driver in the kernel configuration that looks similar but its not the frame buffer driver.
