Intel Next-Gen wireless-N card (laptop)

Hi guys

I'm ordering a new Dell E1505 laptop, and there is an option between an Intel PRO/Wireless 3945a/g card and an Intel Next-Gen wireless-N card.

I'm not 100% yet how I'll configure the laptop when I receive it, it will either be a dual-boot XP / CentOS or OpenSuse, or, I will run XP as a host and run Linux inside a virtual machine (vmware)

Not sure it matters in the virtual machine because I think it emulates wireless network card, but in case I decide to dual-boot, I need to be sure.

The Intel Next-Gen wireless-N card sounds sweet, greater range, uses less battery power, etc..

Anyone know if the Intel Next-Gen wireless-N card is compatible with Linux?

Thanks
Nat

From what little I saw in http://www.google.com/linux?hl=en&q=...Gen+wireless-N I would have to say no.

if it is the 4965agn chipset which i think it has there is no driver for linux made by intel themselves, but there is a opensource driver available at http://intellinuxwireless.org/.
