Intel I7 and Linux?

I can't seem to find Intel's latest I7 in the Hardware Compatibility Guide for Linux.
Can anyone please tell me that they are using an I7 CPU successfully with any flavor of Linux?

While I can't, over at Phoronix they seem to review them without excessive difficulty, eg http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pag..._core_i7&num=1
