I don't even know what this device is, is this an old pre-802.11 spec wireless device?

Regardless, if you could post the output of:

/sbin/cardctl ident

That would be a good start.

Its a proprietary Proxim card, luckily it does have support, I've never fiddled with these drivers, but I could probably help you out if you run into snags, here's the URL:
