Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 in Fedora 7

hi all.

i have the above mentioned graphics card working fine when Fedora 7 is running using 915resolution, so my question is - when the system is booting up and doing the checklist, the text on the screen is blown up well out of proportion and i cannot see what is happening, is there a way for me to set the screen on boot up to a more respectable resolution, ie 1024 x 768 and keep it in a setting.

thanks in advance mark

You would have to have 915resolution run before the graphical boot process, and I don't think there's any clean way to do that.

What you can try is using the "intel" driver in xorg.conf if you're using "i810" now. The intel driver shouldn't require 915resolution and so should give you a decent resolution during boot and afterwards. Although the intel driver isn't as stable as i810 for everyone (but has been flawless for me since Fedora 7 came out).
