Intel GMA 3600?
Hello and i hope you have a great and nice day
Anyway i do have this issue with Linux, Intel's (or imagination's) proprietary GMA 3600 Driver, The only distro that amazed me of how old its kernel is was CentOS, even though it had a kernel with that driver, i was not able to get the X Driver to be loaded (I do think there was an X Driver because Ubuntu 12.04 had a PPA With the driver that was merged to main repos)
Please help me on enabling the CentOS Driver in, or tell me another distribution with kernel 3.x. ill be happy if you help!

You should not be trying to find an old kernel. Instead you should be troubleshooting why you were unable to get the default FOSS drivers to load. Please have a read here.
Please paste output here from:
Code:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log | fpaste
If that fails, try uploading that file at any of these locations: Then provide the resulting URI here.

IDK; this sounds a lot like Poulsbo, but it's a different model...
Frosttt, do you want to actually solve this, or just discuss the dis/advantages of closed/open software?
If the former, please post something we can work with. Read the 1st link in my signature.

Ok here is MORE Data, the ver of CentOS Was 7.9.2009 i386, i installed X.Org with drivers but i get LLVMPipe, which is of course software render, So i had No GNOME Animations, Firefox Crashed the System, and yeah, if i try something like arch, it has an up to date LLVMPipe Version, so the issues that where mentioned up got all fixed, except for animations though, i found out that Ubuntu 20.04 had very hard to see animations shown, for some rather questionable reason, and btw, the LLVMPipe from Cent was 7.0, meanwhile in other distros its 11.0 or 12.0, depending on release model.

OK, let's start with this (there's more, but we have to start somewhere).
Let's concentrate on one distro. It's CentOS 7.x with GNOME, yes? Well right away I have to say that might not be the best choice here.
But anyhow... - Please show us what "drivers" you refer to and how you installed them.
- how do you know that you "get LLVMPipe"
- You presumably want hardware video accelaration, yes? so if LLVMPipe is software render (how do you know? I'm not up-to-date with these things), why are you concerned with its version number?
And this time please take more than 15 minutes to answer. It just shows that you did no additional research in the meantime.

You aren't hearing me, aren't answering my questions, just repeating your demands.
This isn't getting anywhere.
BTW, darthjam is a spammer.

darthjam says a weird thing i cant understand, i know that because you said hes a spammer, anyway, here is my plan : get Ubuntu 18.04 32bit, and after that i can add the precise pangolin (ubuntu 12.04) repositories with the driver by modifing /etc/apt/sources.list, then i can download an ubuntu 12.04 iso from the ubuntu releases archive, then extract its kernel and rename it, now i techinally have support for 18.04.

If you do that, you lose all the security updates and features that went into the kernel since 12.04. Pulling a wheeze like that usually ends badly at the next upgeade or dist-upgrade. Mesa provides the OpenGL stuff and X provides the drivers. Why change the kernel?
