Intel Celeron Processor HELP!!!!!

Hi, I'm a linux newbie, and I'm doing my best not to sound like an idiot. I have a Compaq Presario V2000 notebook, with an Intel Celeron M wireless (BG2200). I can not, for the life of me, get this to work, or even be recognized by distro (I have tried Fedora, MEPIS, SUSE 9.1 and 10, and others). Please help, I've been all over and downloaded all kinds of drivers, used ndiswrapper and everything, nothing seems to work. Please help.
