intel 82852/855gm onboard - how to activate video out?

hy there, i just put ubuntu on my labtop which contains the intel graphic device 82852/855GM (sorry the sbin/lspci or cardctl ident didn't turn out with any results) and my question is how i can get this graphic chip to send its signal not only to my labtop monitor but also to the external s-video out? for windows, i had a particular driver for this chip but obviously it doesn't work for linux. so, is there a different driver i didn't find on google or some linux settings i missed? would be great if you could help me. thank you very much, michael
