a long time ago when I had dialup I fixed an issue like this but I just can't remember how. I keep thinking it had to do with the dialer settings but I really can't remember, sorry.

You ealier had said you were getting some errors on module loading could you post that specific error?

The error is 'Unresolved characters in module 536EP.o' and 'Unresolved characters in module 536EPcore.o'.

And suprise suprise.... "Regarding your query, I am afraid we do not troubleshoot queries related to Linux Operating System." Gotta love Tiscali.

most ISP's would give you that answer. But better that than having them saying o ya sure and completely hosing your system

I'll check into those errors some. In the mean time try this I think it may help you.

Try changing the flow control setting

It worked for me.

That was one of the first things I tried, didn't work.
