We are having problems with running Linux on the ASUS P4B-GL-VM with the
Intel 845GL chipset.

The Xwindows graphics screen will not come up again, once you have logged out.
It only comes up once for the first time but it bombs out, when trying to restart
the X server.

At first we installed

Redhat 7.3 Kernel 2.4.18-3

After reading the internet, I upgraded the kernel to 2.4.20-pre5-ac1
This version includes support for the Intel 845GL chip.
We also set the graphics driver to vesa as instructed by Intel.

But, we still receive the same problem.

Thanks and Best Regards.
