Installing windows and linux on the same machine

This is the situation. I have Mandrake installed on a machine with a 10 GB hard drive. I have a separate 6 GB hard drive. What I would like to do is to format everything and install Windows XP on the 6 GB and Mandrake on the 10 GB. And to have a dual boot.

How do I start? Are the sizes of memory logical for each OS?

A simple step by step would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot in advance.

I would say - just do it. If you install windows first then you will end up with a linux bootloader which you can use to woot windwos too. You can do it the other way but it is easier getting grub to do the dula booting.

I think Mandrake should detect XP during install anyway and create a boot entry for it.
