installing video drivers for ATI 9200

hey all,

i followed the instructions for installing ATI's radeon 9200 drivers but now can't get into fedora core 2 at all! while booting i get the error "kdskbent failed to map 'somekey' to 'somekey'. then the screen flickers on off on off and dumps me into an an error screen!! then a hardware detection screen comes up and asks where my mouse is??

it keeps saying that it can't detect my mouse. i remember one of the questions while installing the ATI drivers was to tell it where my mouse was. i had no idea so i left the default of /dev/mouse

ah geeez can someone pull my sorry butt out of this one please?

thanks for being patient w/ a newbie,
