Good information, but...

If you told us a lot more about your scanner, maybe we could help better.
Why do you think it isn't working? What have you tried?
What make/model is it?
Is it connected by USB?
If so, plug it in and tell us what the output of lsusb is.

I'm sorry sir about the lack of information. My scanner is a Genius ColorPage Vivid 4x, a usb scanner. I managed to install it in the ltsp server. I tried to plug it in the thin client and start xsane but im having a "no scanner device installed" popup dialog. i didn't manage to check the lsusb.

So you are using a "thin client".
Google is your friend.

Using USB Devices with the Fuse File System

The Fuse File System will allow users to access USB plug-in devices like USB thumb drive, USB scanner, camera, etc. Even if they plug these into the diskless computer. Enable users access to fuse with LTSP in user permissions. This will allow them to mount and use USB drives like a thumb drive or scanner. In the User Privileges you must enable “fuse filesystems”.
