Installing RH 7.2 on Toshiba laptop w/pcmcia cdrom

I am making a feeble attempt at installing Redhat 7.2 on a Toshiba Portege 3110CT. I am not able to get the PCMCIA CD-rom to run even though I have >changed the BIOS setting to PCIC-compatible> have attempted a boot using the PCMCIA.img boot disk>used the WIN/DOS boot disk that I have created specifically for the PORT 24X cdrom. I can get the cdrom to run under DOS to do a WIN install or to run the autoboot from the Redhat CD. However I get to the blue install screen & my machine freezes up looking for card services,or it will ask me for a driver disk. So I also made a PCMCIAdd.img boot disk thinking there were possibly drivers on there with no luck either. I am aware of the pcmcia_cs 3.1.33 files, except I dont know how to manipulate the files within the zip file(or tar.gz?) Are there drivers within that file that I need to put on the boot disk also or to a second disk? I read somewhere that I would need to create as a "supplemental" disk after the boot process. The only problem is that I have no clue on how to compile kernels or whatever. To make a long story short I would greatly appreciate if anyone would please provide me with a step by step on the install process. Or if anyone has had a similar scenario & has a disk with the drivers already compiled or something? Thank You

Have a look at the laptop How-To and at linux-laptop.net.

I have looked at all of those sites & they were none too helpful. I dont feel that they explain enough on the process of getting a pcmcia cd-rom to boot the RH disk. :(
I can run the auto-boot from the DOSUTILS folder on disk 1.(as I have a boot disk that I created for my pcmcia CDrom) But heres what happens when I do it.- I get to the blue install screen & it starts searching for PC Card services, & then it freezes up. So Ctrl-Alt-Del again....I use the pcmcia boot disk & then I get to the blue screen that way-then Im stuck because its asks for drivers that I need for the CDrom. Otherwise my other option is to boot from the HD. However when I get to that point in the install it asks for the path or directory as to where the iso images are. I am assuming it detects the hard drive as hda1? The only problem is that I dont know what the path should read as so I could just install from the hard drive. If I created a folder in the C:/ drive as C:/RHat or something & just copied the disks to that folder, I should be able to install that way? I just need to know how to write the path as to where the iso images are located.
