Installing RedHat ES 3.0 in SATA Hard disk

Hi All,

I tried to install RedHat Enterprise Server 3.0 in a machine where the HDD is Serial ATA(SATA). But on installing it is not recognizing the harddisk.

On other IDE and SCSI HDD it is recognizing without any issue.

Pl get me the steps to install RHES 3.0 in SATA HDD

Thanks in Advance,

What is the make/model of your SATA chipset? If you have no clue, what is the make/model of your motherboard?

Model of SATA is Hitachi
And Motherboard is Intel Chipset
I found from google that there are some BIOS Settings to be changed for SATA
If anyone know these settings pl get back to me.

Regards,
Gopal
