I'm a long term Manjaro user but new to Arch. Whats interesting but perhaps not surprising, is I'm having the same intermittent issue with a black background on log in. My suspicion is its graphics driver related.
So to my question. What kind of success or failure have users had with Nvidia drivers vs nouveau? Noveau is currently running (I've posted some feedback below). I found this blog on installing Nvidia drivers (
https://howto.lintel.in/install-nvidia-arch-linux/) but want to make sure this is the best approach. Often these kinds of resources as everyone can appreciate, become outdated, etc.
Any insights appreciated.
