Installing modem Intel 536 EX chipset

I am running Mandrake Linux 9.0.It installs very easy.Runs great!
The only problem is,I cant' get my modem to work.I have a e-machine 666. I totally deleted Windows from the hard drive so that Mandrake Linux is the only OS on it.
Could anyone show me how to get my modem to work?
