Smile Installing Livecd Fedora Core 7

I have already tried without success for help from the newbe forum to install Fedora Corelivecd on the following system:

HP Media Center m7160n Desktop PC
PentiumD 820(S) DC 2.8 GHZ
Memory Installed 1GB (2 x 512)
19" Display Monitor 1280 X 1024 Resolution
Video Card Intel(R) 82945 Express Chipset
16x DVD(+/-)R/RW DL Llightscrive drive
Model: HP DVDWriter 640C (note there are two optic drives)

The message is always the same:

ir1 17 nobody cared try booting with the IRQ poll option
acpi no DMI
no fstab sys, mounting internal defaults

-nothing much further happens. I have tried adding both "irqpoll" and "linux irqpoll" to the end of the command line by pressing TAB from the linux boot menu. This command line with almost two lines of parameters, seems patchy to me.

I would like to know if this is an isolated hardware problem - what is there about my hardware that causes the livecd to go off the rails?

At what stage of the booting process do these messages occur? Where can I get more information on what is happening during the live boot process? Why is the installation process given so little emphasis? If you can't install then the book is only good for recycling

Why do some livecds install on this computer and others don't? Any heads up would be greatly appreciated.

At the risk of asking a stupid question, are you shutting down & booting from the cd? If so, I would try burning a new cd at slowest speed & starting over.
