Installing jpeglib.h

hi,

i found the module of 'jpeglib.h" on ftp://ftp.uu.net/graphics/jpeg/

however . i ru everything. the configure files and then make and then make install .
then i got this error ..

/usr/bin/install: cannot create regular file `/usr/local/man/man1/cjpeg.1': No such file or directory
make: *** [install] Error 1

what does this mean .. when i get this error message ?

Is it mean when i got this thing correct and then i will able to install the jpeglib.h ??

it looks like the "man" page did not get installed............
use the "find" command and see if the jpeglib.h module got installed or not........if it did your good to go..........OF course you may want to look thru the MAKEFILE and find out why the man page got left out...........

How can i know why the man page is left out... and if it is left out then .. What should i do next ??
