Hello all. I recently downloaded Fedora Core 3. I added a second hard drive to my system to put Fedora on. I want to put FC3 on my primary slave drive, but when I go through the installation only my primary master drive shows up.
BIOS recognizes both my primary master drive and my primary slave drive.

How do I get Fedora to recognize my slave drive and install Fedora on that?

Also, I have Windows on my primary master drive, and I want to be able to choose between booting to Fedora on my slave, or Windows on my master. How can I do this? Thank you!

Have you tried "manual partition" during install? Useing disk druid you might have to format hdb as linux partition with a swap partition

Starting with the basics, do you have one jumpered as master and the other slave? Cable select causes problems. Then your slave drive on the primary IDE controller is hdb, master is hda. Partition and format hdb however you wish, install Fedora on it.

Now for dual booting you can edit ntloader for 2000 or XP and add a line for the linux drive.
Or you can let Fedora's boot loader do the booting. That is Grub. If you install grub on the master boot record of the drive that you BIOS points to for booting, you can boot both. Add these lines to Grub
title Winblows XP Amateur
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1

If you have the hd as master and boot from 1st partition (hd0,0) hda1

Or if your bios supports booting from more than 1 drive you can skip installing a boot loader and choose the drive to boot from the bios.

Another option would be to make a boot diskette which is an option you will get during
the install and leave your windows boot loader alone.
