Installing Elographics touchscreen, problems with xf86OpenSerial


Hi there, I have installed slackware 8.0.
So far startx works OK, I have my screen up and my mouse works
I now need to install and setup the elographics touchscreen.

I have modified my XF86Config file, and have placed the elo2300_drv.o file in the /usr/lib/modules/input directory.

When X runs now, I get an error in the XFree86.0.log regarding xf86OpenSerial. X still starts and my mouse still works but no
input from touchscreen, I know the TS works as this was running
Win2000 before and the TS worked OK then.

If anyone has any ideas ??

It works !!
Changed to using the elographics_drv.o module
Had to edit /etc/rc.d/rc.S
taking out the comment on the . /etc/rc.d/rc.serial line,
now it configures the serial ports correctly
Then I using outdated options in the XF86Config for max and min positions,
e.g. was using "MinX" when should have been using "MinimumXPosition"
