if its an usb cam then first turn it on, connect it to your pc and do the following as root user in your terminal:
modprobe usb_storage
mkdir /mnt/myusbstorage
mount /dev/sda1 /mnt/myusbstorage
then you should be able to view,download and delete your photos from your cam , delete only works as root
if you want to be able to delete as normal user you have also to do this as root in console instead of the above one:
mount -t vfat -o umask=000 -w /dev/sda1 /mnt/mysusbstorage
