Installing ATI drivers for Suse 9.2?

I have just installed Suse 9.2 and I would like to know how I could go about installing the latest ATI drivers. I am using an X800 Pro 256 meg agp card and would like to get 3d acceleration working.

I have googled around and found useful howto's on installing the ATI drivers but they were for debian and slackware and I am not sure if the same technique will work with Suse 9.2

Would anyone who has installed the drivers under suse 9.2 be able to assist please? I have already downloaded the drivers from the ati website for x.org but I have no clue on how to install them.

Thanks,

BattleGnome

I found a howto here:
http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?showtopic=12674

I am still unable to use the 3D acceleration. I am hoping that someone who has been through this will help. The article doesn't mention that you must use fglrxconfig to get it setup. Be sure to backup your XF86conf file.

Suse has their own packages and howto. It is on the ftp site:
ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/sup.../X/ATI/suse92/

Note that even though this is in the i386 folder, it is the place for both i386 and for x86_64.
