Install Linux CentOS into Notebook IBM Thinpad A30

Hi to everybody!!!!!!
I'd like to know if the Hardware of the Notebook IBM Thinpad A30 can be/is compatibile with Linux CentoOS.
If is not compatibile, which version of Linux I can use?
I've 2 links: 1 with caratteristics and the other with the drivers (for windows in this case).

and

For connect myself to Internet I use the wireless because I don't have the LAN cables connection at home....so I use a Wireless Cardbus Adapter.
The wireless cardbus that I use is an D-Link AirPlus ExtremeG+ DWL-G650+

Can I use wireless or I'll remain isolated from the Internet?

Tnx so much for the answers!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Regards.

ThinkPads work very well with Linux. I've run Slackware on several ThinkPads over the years, and they've all been 100% supported out of the box, with some minor configuration tweaking.

Your wireless card should work fine. I'm using a similar D-Link cardbus adapter in my wife's laptop.

Hi,

i did an installation description during my installation of Fedora on my A30P years ago. Take a look Installing RH 7.3/FC3/4 on Thinkpad A30P.
Ignore the X11 section, the driver mentioned there, is already merged in todays xorg version.

I know it's RH 7.3/Fedora core3/4 but all newer versions will also work.

I agree with foodown all my Thinkpads were well supported.
