Infrared device has severed itīs connection
Im pretty new to Linux, but still I have been able to make a digitv-box to my gf. Everything worked fine in the start. Kaffeine obeyed my Windows mediacenter remote v2 and my Amitech wireless mini keyboard. I was able to configure the remote in KDE. No probs. Untill...
I installed new graphics card: Geforce 5200 FX. I didnīt work. I installed the Nvidia restricted drivers. Still it didnīt work. My punishment for installing the restricted drivers was: irkick stopped working. No more remote controller. The wireless keyboard still works though. When I run irkick (KDE control module), it says, that "no remotes were found. You must first setup Lirc correctly". If I type lsusb I can see both of my USB-devices (remote and keyboard). Btw. If I run the Ubuntu Live-CD, it recognizes the gforce 5200 and installs the drivers. The computer is IBM thinkcenter. Chipset Intel 82801 EB/ER, Intel integrated display "card". The comp has 1,5 GB of ram. What info do u need for me to post here? I really would appreciate help, so that I donīt have to install Ubuntu all over again. So the problem is: irckick not working and the Nvidia gforce 5200 FX not working. Thanks for reading. Im using Ubuntu 7.10. |
