Inactive Intel 82801DB-ICH4 audio
 

At present, I'm rehabilitating a Dell Dimension 4500S. Although my ALSA mixer seems operational, I've no sound and none of my audio programs will initiate playback. My kernel is 2.6.32-5-686, and the audio card is an integrated Intel 82801DB-ICH4. Any aid in address of this matter would be terribly appreciated!
