in command prompt ,yellow highlight on the letters --l,i,j, etc...in redhat9.0


I see a yellow highlight on the text at all places with the letters i.j,and l
i have changed the resolution and the frequency of the monitor on my laptop.but there is no change.I have installed redhat 9.0 which initially recognised the wrong resolution then i went ahead and changed the display settings..everything is fine but it still has a yellowish highlight on the text matter .How can i get rid of this?? can anybody help me!!!
