if i get an nforce mobo with built-in VGA... will the built in vga work in linux?

I'm not familiar with the nvidia chipset (whether or not it comes with a default vga card). Alot of it depends on whether or not the card is supported in linux.

what's the name of the onboard card and what distro are you planning on using?

. You need to specify what chipset is on the board you are buying or what make and model M/B
