IEEE 802.11ac USB adapters

What are the new USB adaptors for the new WIFI standard 802.11ac with solid Linux support (with heavy preference for open-source drivers)?

I am aware of this list for the 802.11-N standard but not one for the -AC standard yet. I also found a similar question over at StackExchange but no one seemed to know. The listing on amazon for "Edimax EW-7822UAC Wireless AC1200 Dual Band USB 3.0 Adapter" had someone mention it worked, but I need it to have Long-Term-Support and not just work with the current kernel. I've dealt with Broadcom dropping support for my previous wifi card (and nVidia dropping support for my graphics card which can only be used with Ubuntu 8.04 apparently :/) and am now very hesitant to upgrade.

Actually I'd like to know which ones are binary supported, but there is 0% chance I'd buy them. In fact, I'd rather go back to college, learn how to design my own chip, write a new standard, spend a decade getting it adopted and use that, than vote with my money of $50 to support planned-frustration (compare with planed obsolescence since the device would otherwise still work fine). I jest, but I'm just not impressed with hardware manufactures support for their own hardware and drivers.
