You may want to look at WatchGuard... CRN just had a round-up review (Jan. 18th, 2008 "Putting UTM to the Test" <-- Google it), WatchGuard came out first (it looked at WatchGuard, Fortinet and Untangle). I understand that they have an excellent application proxy, which may be exactly what you're looking for (as well, they're a whole lot less expensive than Cisco -- which by the way, just announced that the PIX line is now going to be end of life). Good luck!
