Hi Hakan,
I was on holiday so it took me so long to check you useful tip out. Unfortunately I'm not any further. The driver is already set to radeon and the Identifier is on "Card0", this is ok isn't it, because on the radeon webpage (which you gave me the link) is displayed "devname"? Devname for the card which is in use I guess?
Ok, so far so bad. I think it's only a problem of the KDE, because I have seen in the KDE-Controllcenter that the display resolution is set to 640*480 but I in reality it's already 1400*.. how it should be. I can't also chose the right monitor (LCD-Monitor with 1400*1280 resolution) and the 24 bit colors.
The point is, I can't shutdown from the KDE like a normal shutdown, I mean I always shutdown or reboot with the console not with the knoppix button and then click the options, because it crashes down each time (black display, not rebooting or shutdown). I guess it's also a problem of the graphic driver like the problem with vmware and emulatet Windows 2000.
I asked also some friends of mine, but we're all not linux gurus.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help, I'm always happy if someone tries to help me 8-)
All the best
Tobias
