IBM System for $219 USD --- Worth it?
Would this system be of worthy cause for a homebrew linux server?
http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?inv...IBMNVPIV20main
Its says there are some asthetic defects, but if this were to be a "closet" server it would matter to much. Is it possible to piece together a system for less money? What do you guys/gals think? This sounds like a good deal.

My take: Compared to similar used systems for sale elsewhere, that's a decent price. However, you'll want to check into what the final actual price would be after including possible taxes and shipping. It weighs 28 lbs, so shipping it any meaningful distance will probably be pretty expensive (even moreso if you ship Express).
