Okay, I think I've figured out a problem I've been having for months now. My server halts after being online only a few days and it always seems to be related to the disk array going offline in some way. I found the information below in the logs and found info on IBM's website (http://www-306.ibm.com/pc/support/si...cid=MIGR-42022) stating that if the versions don't match, over a period of time the data can be lost or the drives can become defunct -- which is precisely what is happening! SO I'm glad I think I know what is going on, BUT it doesn't appear there are new drivers for Debian. Can I use Suse drivers or Redhat ones? Are there generic drivers available? Anyone have any advice? I have plenty of Compaq RAID controllers but they wouldnt boot in these IBM's, but that is another alternative if anyone knows how to make that work.
