I need to install right driver for video-card GIGABYTE GeForceŽ GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 64 bit

Hello there,

I had installed some driver for a new video-card: GIGABYTE GeForceŽ GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 64 bit, Low Profile, DVI-D, HDMI.

But the screen often became black for 2 - 5 seconds and then back showed the desktop.
I removed the NVIDIA drivers. I mounted temporary another videocard: Device-2: AMD RV770 [Radeon HD 4850] just to install right driver for: video-card: GIGABYTE GeForceŽ GT 1030 2GB GDDR5 64 bit, Low Profile, DVI-D, HDMI.
Then I will mount the new vide-card back and hope it will work fine, without black screen for 2 - 5 seconds.

Code:
# Debian 10 "Buster"
deb http://deb.debian.org/debian buster main contrib non-free
By rights you should be able to boot using the Nvidia graphics and nouveau driver xserver-xorg-video-nouveau, it would be best to be running Nvidia when installing the proprietary drivers but can be done the other way.

Make sure your /etc/apt/sources.list repository has non-free as outlined in the code above, then run command as root or sudo: apt update, when the cursor returns issue command: apt install nvidia-driver. When it returns, reboot using the Nvidia card.

Scratch the xserver-xorg-video-nouveau part. Most non-antique NVidia GPUs work as good or better using the default
  • non-optional (provided by X server package)
  • newer technology
  • non-reverse engineered
Modesetting DDX driver.
