There is no such thing as XL for hard drives unless you are talking about T-Shirt sizes.

I think that the questions that you have would be answered in a forum on A+ certification.

Yes you need help. With finding the correct forum to dumb your questions on, and more importantly, how to write a sensible title for your posts. Or are you trolling?

I believe your refering to computer BIOS size limitations. Here is the list as I remember them.
528 MB 2.1 GB 8.4 GB 32 GB 128 GB If your computer BIOS is older you can still use the larger drives by enabling the 32 GB jumper. I will assume your computer is fairly new and can handle at least 32GB drives. For running windows you can use the drive overlay software that comes with the disk. linux will be able to use the entire drive space. Please post the hardware specifications of your PC, motherboard, type of processor. This will put us in the ball park on its capabilities. It might also be possible to reprogram your BIOS to handle larger drives. Also please provide better titles for your threads. Almost everyone that posts here needs help. |
Sorry , michaelk but from what this guy sent me in an email makes me believe he is just a troll...

At this point I think it is useful to remind everyone of the following LQ Rule:
Code:
Do not post if you do not have anything constructive to say in the post. |
[rule_violation] Sorry. For Humanitarian sake, I didn't post those two emails I got from him. And I will not. Ok, I propose to close this thread... [/rule_violation]
