I need a recommendation for a scanner under $100

I mindlessly picked up an HP scan jet 3670 assuming it would work as well as my last HP. Sane does not support it yet, so I need to return it, and am curious to know if anyone has had luck with a recent scanner that is in the $70-$100 range. I have looked up the majority of the current scanners in the sane database and so far they have all turned up unsupported.

Thanks.

I use a flatbed Cannon CanoScan LiDE 30. It's fully supported and cost me around £60 (UK Pounds, probably less than $50 US) and supports reasonably high resolutions. I have no complaints about the image quality either.

Thank you, I have located one for $47 US. I will pick it up tonight hopefully and try it out. You are using SANE right?

the lide 20 and 30 are supported,

Yes. I should mention it's a USB scanner, in case that makes a difference. Under SuSE 9.1 Professional, it was automatically detected and I generally use GIMP as a front-end to the front-end to SANE.

USB is fine. I must have over looked it. I appreciate your input.

I bought the LiDE30, and it works like a charm. Thanks.
