I am using RH9 and I have a Internal Conexant winmodem, I have already downloaded the driver from www.lixunant.com and installed it. The hardware browser already detected it that I have a modem already installed...But when i run the internet configuration wizard It seems to have no modem found....Any Help

I have a conexent modem and SuSE. First off did you download the rpm for your version of redhat and kernel or the generic one? If it is the generic one just try the specific to you one. I had an HSF modem and it is called /dev/hsfmodem so tell it to use that device?

I had a problem very similar to this when I moved away from my evil roommates (and off cable) last summer. IIRC, my problem was that "it" was looking for the modem where it wasn't (/dev/hsfmodem, perhaps--I can't remember anymore). At any rate, it works for me now, with the 'Modem Device' set as "/dev/tty/SHSF0"
