I am master just kidding

Not to long ago I posted and was trying to see if anyone has gotten Radeon 9600XT 128 mb video card to runn in SUSe with 3D acceleration well I solved it on my own with no one's help because I did my way and linux said ok I will do it. I crammed and force all the drivers down Linux's throat finally about 5 to 530 this morning I gotten 3D acceleration running and now I am kickin butt on the full version of UT2K3 so thanks for the help everyone.

It might be more helpful to post what drivers you crammed down Linux's throat and maybe even how you got them to load if that was the issue. Otherwise this thread is worthless to people in your situation.

I got my 9800pro working in slackware just by following the instructions in the ATi driver package for building a custom kernel module.

Well it was ATI fglrx 4.3.0-3.7.6 drivers using SUSE 9 Professional but my problem though is how do I get agpgart to load on startup and plus how can I edit the agp aperture size because my video card is 128 mb and the aperture size says 64mb what I did was this:

rpm -i --force fglrx.rpm
rpm -i --force km_fglrx.rpm
rpm -i --force fglrx-4.3.0-3.7.6.rpm you know
then I loaded up agpgart testgart modprobe agpgart
afterward fglrxconfig I told it to use external agp and etc.. then updatedb
then it worked
