I think I have a working system configured that will suit my purpose. I have FC5 installed on a drive plugged into the Silicon Image controller. I was able to run the FC5 install in a way that I was able to tell it to load drivers for that controller. I am now able to boot from that drive with no problem. From that system I am able to plug the second drive into the nVIDIA controller and see/mount from it. I am building my LFS and installing it on that drive. While building I will build in all the correct drivers to be able to do what I want with the drives. When done I'll plug that drive into the Silicon Image controller and mirror it. Right now I'm having a problem with the LFS build process. I'll have to jump on their IRC channel and ask some questions there. I never did try to fix the SuSE installation while booted into FC5. I should have. Now I'm already into building my LFS and don't want to blow that away. Thanks for the help and information. I'll drop back and let you know how I am coming along from time to time. If push comes to shove and I am having too many problems rolling my own LFS as least I know I can run the system on FC5 and probably SuSE 10 if I can install the right drivers.
